Young Makers Craft Camp

Join Houston Makerspace founder Maclean Smyth for a week of DIY crafts in our Young Makers Craft Camp! Over the course of five days, students will learn skills in gardening, molding, chemistry, carving, drawing, and physics through completing useful projects! Monday Gardening Crafts: Terrariums and Seed Bombs Tuesday Outside Play Crafts: DIY Bouncing Balls and Sidewalk Chalk Wednesday Inside Play Crafts: Smartphone Projector and Constellation Light Thursday Stamping Crafts: DIY Fabric Stamps and Embossed Cards Friday Gifting Crafts: Shrinking Plastic Accessories and Glitter Globes Your admission of $225 includes all materials and one-on-one instruction. All your young maker needs to bring is a smile and willingness to create! We have two sessions based on students' ages: Ages 8-12: Session I, Monday, June 22nd-Friday, June 26th Ages 13-16: Session II, Monday, July 20th-Friday, July 24th Parents may drop off any time between 12:30 and 1 pm, and pick up any time between 3 and 3:30 pm. This camp is limited to 8 students; Sign up now to secure your spot! Please note: Young makers can also join us for a full day of creativity! Sign up for both the morning session of Sewing Camp and the afternoon session of Craft Camp and receive a 15% discount by choosing the appropriate payment option for both camps when completing payment. Young makers who sign up for both camps will have a supervised break to eat lunch, play outside, and relax before Craft Camp begins. All-day young makers will need to bring a bagged lunch; a refrigerator and a microwave are available for use. For all-day young makers, parents may drop off any time between 8:30 and 9 am, and pick up their child any time between 3 and 3:30 pm.
