Applicant must live in zip codes 77002, 77003, 77005 - 77009, 77019, 77025, 77027, 77030, 77054 or 77098 Applicants must pass a basic reading, writing and math assessment. Job Title: Field Representatives: Will interview randomly selected sample households eight times, over a 16 month period. Interview generally lasts 20 ? 30 minutes, depending on the size and makeup of the household. However, additional supplemental questions are occasionally added which increases the length of the interview, usually 5-10mins Field Representatives will conduct two types of surveys. ** Survey of Income and Program Participation (SIPP) Collects monthly information about income, participation in various government programs and demographic information. As a field representative (FR), you will interview selected sample households the second year of a 4 year study. The interview is conducted by personal visit to the housing unit averaging 1 hour per adult and up to 5 hours with larger households. SIPP is a longitudinal survey therefore eligible households that will be contacted for an interview in 2015 have already participated in the 2014. (Wave 1) phase. The field representative will be trained to locate the household for an interview if they moved from the original 2014 address and remain in the assignment area. *** Current Population Survey (CPS) Will collect up-to-date information on the national unemployment rate each month. ?Please bring with you a completed application form signed, two forms of ID. HR reps will provide the applicants will access to the application when job seekers call to schedule an interview time. Bring a photocopy of each ID form (same sheet is fine). One ID must be a State or Federal picture ID such as a current Driver?s License or Passport. ?Preferably, bring your Driver?s License and Social Security Card ?If claiming Veteran?s Preference, bring a copy of supporting documentation, like your DD-214 or other proof with you to the Testing Session. ?Be sure to complete all applications and related materials before the session. No extra time will be allotted during the session to complete these items. ?Be sure to dress professionally, come early and sign in. Doors will close at the time given and no additional applicants will be admitted. This position has the potential to become permanent without additional compensation. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent plus six months of general work experience OR one year of higher education. Applicants must be a U.S. citizens over 18 years of age, reside in Harris County, have a reliable working vehicle, valid driver?s license and be available to work day, evening and weekend hours.
