Description
Have you ever wondered about how the children and families who are involved in a public tragedy grieve amid all the media exposure and attention? Dr. Donna A. Gaffney, clinical therapist, researcher and journalist, will be speaking on that very topic at Bo's Place. After the Challenger explosion Dr. Gaffney worked with schools to help grieving children. She also worked with families affected by the Pan Am 103 crash and by the World Trade Center attacks on September 11, and provided grief and bereavement training for schools, communities and professionals after September 11. Dr. Gaffney is the author of The Seasons of Grief and Helping Children Grow through Loss. Join us for this informative workshop.
