DESCRIPTION:The San Jos  Clinic Advisory Board is pleased to announce its 8th Annual Fall Speaker Series luncheon. This event\, held in conjunction with title sponsor CHI St. Luke's Health\, will take place on October 23\, 2018 at the River Oaks Country Club. At this year's luncheon Dr. Stephen Spann\, founding Dean of the University of Houston-College of Medicine\, and Dr. David Buck\, Associate Dean for Community Health at the University of Houston-College of Medicine\, will lead a discussion on "Bridging the Gap - Closing cultural barriers in access to care." All proceeds from the Fall Speaker Series luncheon support San Jos  Clinic's mission of providing quality\, affordable healthcare to the uninsured in our community. Since our inception 96 years ago\, San Jos  Clinic has embraced innovation and has grown and changed with the city of Houston to find the best ways to care for those in need through collaboration\, partnerships\, and clinical advancement. In 2017\, the Clinic provided more than 32\,700 medical\, dental\, pharmacy and specialty visits with the dedication\, generosity\, and support of our partners.
